How Do I Make Assignments Not Count Towards Grades?

When building your curriculum in Kiddom, you have the option to determine which assignments will count towards a final grade by setting an assignment to Formative or Summative. Formative assignments will give students mastery feedback and knowledge, but will not be used to calculate overallmastery data unlike Summative assignments. If you would like an assignment's grade to be calculated in Reports, be sure to select Summative. If you would not like an assignment's grade to be calculated in Reports, be sure to select Formative.

To select the type, simply ensure you are in edit mode and click where it says Formative/Summative to select which you prefer.

If you've already shared the assignment, you can locate the assignment in your Timeline and edit the value by clicking the 3-dot button, edit info, and change the value under "Counts Toward Grade". Remember to save your changes!
