How Do I Provide Feedback to Students?

Kiddom offers a streamlined feedback experience for teachers and students, which includes the ability to:

  • Provide high-level feedback about an assignment
  • Provide granular feedback at the question level
  • Controlling when feedback is delivered to students
  • Editing and deleting the comments you’ve posted

Providing Feedback on an Assignment or on Specific Questions

At the assignment header, you can click ‘Assignment Feedback’ to open a textbox for authoring their comments for students.Alternatively, you can click ‘Question Feedback’ to open a similar textbox for comments that pertain to any particular question.

Once you are done editing, you can click anywhere else on the page and your comments will be stored (even if you log out of Kiddom).

Posting Feedback to Students

The feedback you write to your students won’t be sent to them immediately. It will be shared alongside their grades once you post the graded assignments back to your students. This allows you to maintain control over what and when you communicate to students and make adjustments after the fact.

Once posted, your students will be able to see their feedback when accessing the assignment in Kiddom.

Your students will also be able to see which questions have specific feedback associated with them to help them in finding all the relevant feedback.

Editing or Deleting Feedback

Before assignments have been posted back to students, clicking on any feedback textbox will allow you to edit the comment. Deleting the text completely will and clicking outside the textbox will remove the textbox and delete the comment.

After a comment has been posted to a student, you can still access the assignment to edit or delete it. However, you will need to post the assignment again to your student in order to update it on the student side.
