Printing Assignments for Students from Kiddom

Kiddom offers the convenient option to print activities directly from the platform.

Printing is available for all published and personalized assignments, as well as AI-generated lessons and practice problems.

For multiple-choice answers, there are bubbles for easy fill-in, and for written answers, lines are provided for students to handwrite their responses. This functionality is available for both standard and customized content, allowing teachers to edit their assignments as necessary for print use. 

Accessing the Print Feature

To utilize the printing features, locate the print icon next to the “Classwork” button on the lesson page or on any assignable activity and select Print Student Assignments. Upon clicking, a preview will be displayed, and the computer’s print dialogue will open. 

When printed, the activity will automatically include name and date blanks, the activity title, and chapters of the curriculum. The text will be in a highly print-readable font, providing a seamless one-click option for printing ready-made assignments.

You can also print multiple activities from anywhere within a lesson. You can choose which activities from the lesson you want to print and each activity will print on a new page, ideal for printing out black-line masters to take to the copy room!

Written Response: Printing Lines for Students

When printing an assignment that contains Written Response questions, you have the option to change what rule spacing, type of line, and the number of lines available to students on the paper.

To adjust these settings, use the Personalize feature to create a new version of the activity. Once open, navigate to a Written Response question and use the Printing Options menu to adjust the type of line and the number of lines you wish your students to see.

For line type, you have three options: Wide-Ruled (11/32"), College-Ruled (9/32"), or Three-Line Ruling (5/8"). By default, all Written Response questions are set to Wide-Ruled. To the right of the Line Type dropdown menu, you'll find a Number of Lines box which will allow you to increase or decrease the number of lines available for students on the page.

You can see the changes you made by using the Preview (eyeball) button before printing out the activity.

Teachers have the ability adjust the size of images when printing to their taste and student needs.

Can I Print or Save in Another Language?

Absolutely! With the Google Translate browser function, you can translate any of the materials before printing or downloading them.

Non-Printable Content

Not all question types are optimized for printing in Kiddom. When clicking Print on an assignment with multimedia questions (audio or video properties), the question will show with a prompt to complete the question using the Kiddom platform.
