Why are New Students Not Automatically Added to Existing Assignments?

To ensure students entering your class midway through the year have an easier time transitioning, you may notice their Timeline doesn't include all assignments you've shared for the semester. If you added a new student to a class with preexisting assignments dating back over a week, they will not have access to those assignments.

If you still want the student to complete older assignments, we recommend you share these assignments directly with them via their Timeline. To share assignments to an individual student, simply go to your Timeline and click Everyone. A drop down menu will appear. Click the desired student.

You are now looking at their Timeline. Simply drag and drop your already existing assignments in Class Content onto their Timeline. Happy teaching & learning!
