How Do You Connect a Curriculum to Your Class?

Kiddom makes it easy for teachers to link your class with the right curriculum. Once connected, you can access the curriculum directly from your class — no extra clicks or pages needed.

Connecting Curriculum to Your Class

Rostered Classes

For most districts that are connected to a rostering system, like Clever or Classlink, curricula will be automatically added based on the subject and grade level. However, occasionally not all of that information is transferred from the data source leading to a class not automatically connecting to a curriculum. In this case, when you first select the Class Curriculum from the menu drop-down for a class that is not connected to a curriculum, you will be prompted to connect a curriculum.

Manually Created Classes

When you first create a class, you’ll see a setup screen to select the curriculum you want to connect to your class.

You’ll select the following for your class:

  • Display name
  • Grade level
  • Subject
  • Curriculum

Use the dropdown menu to select the curriculum you want linked to this class, then click Done.

Adding Additional Curricula

At first, you can only connect one curriculum. If you want to add more later, you can do that anytime in Class Settings.

Adding or Modifying the Curriculum Connected to your Class

To add more than one curriculum to your class:

  1. Open your class.
  2. Use the dropdown at the top to navigate to Class Settings.
  3. Click Curricula to attach another curriculum.

You can also change the curriculum selected at any time to modify the curriculum connected to your class.

Accessing Your Curriculum From a Class

Once your curriculum has been attached to your course, you can now access it directly from the class instead of having to navigate to your Curriculum page. To access the attached curricula, open the class and use the dropdown menu at the top to select Class Curricula.

Do You Need to Attach an Entire Curriculum to Assign Just One Activity?

No! You can still access and assign activities from any other curriculum you have access to, regardless of whether they are attached to the class or not. To do that, you will need to navigate to the assignment from your Curriculum page rather than within the specific class. But once you are there, you will still have the option to assign the activity to your classes, regardless of subject and grade level.
